The Duke Energy Children’s Museum reopened on May 4 after closing for the restoration of the mezzanine level of Union Terminal due to decades of water damage. These renovations made the Children’s Museum an active construction zone as well, so the CMC utilized that time to give the Children’s Museum a refresh. A handful of lasting projects will leave parts of the museum off limits until this November, including the OMNIMAX Theater, Duke Energy Holiday Train display and new food and retail experiences. Because the work was more extensive than initially planned, all museum memberships will be automatically extended by six months.
The Duke Energy Children's Museum is located at the Cincinnati Museum Center, 1301 Western Ave., Queensgate. The Children's Museum is free for members; $10.50 adults; $9.50 seniors; $8.50 children (ages 3-12); $5.50 toddler (ages 1-2); free infant (under 1). More info: cincymuseum.org.
