In its early years, German entrepreneurs settled in Cincinnati and established many local brewing companies. Cincinnati was transformed into a festive town constantly celebrating authentic beer, German food and its local heritage. This weekend, in honor of being named “Beer Capital of the World” in 1880, the Duke Energy Center and many local and worldwide sponsors will hold Cincinnati’s very own Beerfest.
The three-day long extravaganza will offer more than 130 beers brewed in our local homes as well as others from around the world.
A downloadable beer list is available on the fest’s Web site and if the plan is to really honor the Cincinnati heritage and sample all 130 beers Beerfest has to offer, additional sampling tickets are available for $1 each. If that’s the case designated driver tickets are available for $10.
