Country Club Gallery in Oakley is sponsoring a Saturday night screening party for SONIC ORPHANS, film archivist Bill Daniel's collection of "lost music films" from 1965-1987 that contains abandoned, forgotten, found and now-presented-raw-without-editing footage containing the Beatles, Sonic Youth, Avengers, Johnny Cash, Butthole Surfers and others.
Most are silent. Admission is $5 for the event, which starts at 7 p.m. and will include a discussion of "orphan films." There will also be music provided by Hominid and The Librarian.Go here to find nearby bars and restaurants.
