What better way to spend a Wednesday evening than surrounding yourself with drunken Cincinnati yuppies? Party in the Park has returned once again to promote mediocre bands to overly intoxicated crowds, right next to the mighty (likely irradiated) Ohio River. Thirty one years — that’s how long Party in the Park has kept it up. Managing to snag local businesses across the city to help peddle their wares (mostly beer), this Cincinnati tradition doesn’t look like it’ll be kicking the bucket (of beer) any time soon.
Musical headliner Forehead will kick off this season’s festivities. Sponsored by Bud Light and radio stations 96ROCK (96.5 FM) and WNNF (94.1 FM), Party in the Park is scheduled to run every other Wednesday at Yeatman's Cove, generally from 5:30-10:30 p.m. Admission is free. Check out www.party-in-the-park.com for directions and the entire summer line-up. For those who prefer to stay lifted on this most revered holiday of 4/20, consider also checking out Cincy Brass at FB's (126 W. Sixth St., Downtown) or The Dukes at The Comet (4579 Hamilton Ave., Northside). Both shows start at 9 p.m.
