It's Kool to Aid Hunger by GBBN Architects - Credit: Mark Bealer
Remember canned food drives in elementary school?
Harken back to the days when one can meant saving the world and get inspired by
giant works of art made entirely from cans. Canstruction, a national
non-profit, fosters awareness for the fight against hunger by holding citywide
can art competitions. Each year, local architects, engineers and designers
build giant-sized structures out of donated canned goods and put them on
display around the city. Check out the unique exhibits at various locations
including the Weston Art Gallery, the Downtown Public Library and the Scripps
Center. Participate in the challenge by bringing non-perishable canned or
packaged food to display sites. Cincinnati Canstruction proceeds benefit
Freestore Food Bank. For more information, visit www.cincinnaticanstruction.org.
On display through March 19.
