You know that old vinyl Chumbawamba record you somehow managed to get ahold of and, in a fit of shame, stashed a way for a rainy day? Break it out. Every Monday night the Comet hosts The Vinyl Club, a group of music lovers with a collection of records that hardly get to be heard, and they have slots open for you to come tubthump, or whatever you kids are doing these days, to a selection of music dictated by you.
This is an open table event and attendees are encouraged to bring records they want to share with the class, 30 minutes at a time. J. Zang and DJs Mowgli and Dirty C will orchestrate the event for those who participate or just want to kick back and enjoy the tunes and burritos. 9 p.m.-2:30 a.m. The Comet, 4579 Hamilton Ave., Northside. cometbar.com.
