Israeli writer-director Avi Nesher (Turn Left At The End Of The World and The Secrets) adapts Amir Gutfreund’s novel set during 1968 — a year after the Summer of Love, about a teenage boy (Tuval Shafir) hired by a matchmaker (Adir Miller) who survived the Holocaust and has set up shop behind a movie theater that runs only love stories. What would seem to be a typical rom-com lark reveals itself to be a dramatic look at how the circumstances change both characters. Now at Mariemont Theatre. (R) Not screened for review
