One of the most consistent artist-run spaces in town,
Manifest Gallery, offers its visitors a unique glimpse into the minds of
its organizers this coming Sunday evening, as part of an ongoing free
public gallery talk series. Manifest’s associate curator, Tim Parsley,
will lead visitors through two important year-end exhibitions: ONE (their annual juried $1,000 Manifest Prize), and TAPPED 3
(works by professors and their students past or present).
Manifest’s
longest tenured staffer — himself an artist and graduate student —
Parsley should provide insight into the cyclical visual language between
exhibited teachers and students, and how 16 jurors were able to whittle
down the 483 submitted art works by 190 different artists down to just
one single piece. Free. 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6. 2727 Woodburn Ave., Walnut Hills.
