Ever look at a work of art and think, “What’s going on here?” Or, “How does he/she do
that?” Museum directors might have similar questions, and Cincinnati
Art Museum Director Aaron Betsky will be asking them in ARTiculate, a
series of programs featuring Cincinnati area artists beginning tonight
in the Museum’s Fath Auditorium.
Jimmy Baker, adjunct professor of fine
arts at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, will be discussing with Betsky
his paintings and mixed media works that center on technology, global
power structures, historical events, architecture and the history of
painting. Future guests will be Casey Riordan Millard, Stewart Goldman
and Tony Luensman, on March 20, May 15 and July 17, respectively. 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.
Free for Art Museum members and Evenings for Educators participants, $5
for students, $10 for non-members. Reservations recommended. Cincinnati
Art Museum, 953 Eden Park Drive, Mount Adams. 513-721-ARTS,
