What's God Got to Do with It?
Hundreds of Tri-state residents are expected to participate in a lively, interactive event called "One Nation Under God? A Day of Dialogue on Religion, Government, and Public Policy." Sponsored by the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center (IJPC), the program is from 2-5 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Church of the Nazarene in West Chester, 7951 Tylersville Rd. The opening panel will feature the Rev. Rick Scarborough, a Baptist pastor who founded Vision America and the Patriot Pastor movement; Mark Pelavin, associate director of the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism; and Hadia Mubarak, first female president of the Muslim Students Association as well as a senior researcher at Georgetown on Muslim-Christian Understanding; and Sister Alice Gerdeman, coordinator of IJPC.
