The Hamilton County Republican Party endorsed five people Thursday night in this November's elections for Cincinnati City Council.
As expected, the GOP slate includes all three of the party's incumbents: Leslie Ghiz, Charlie Winburn and recent appointee Amy Murray. Also getting the nod were Wayne Lippert and Catherine Smith Mills.
Lippert is a financial planner who lives in Hyde Park. Also, he worked as an aide to then-U.S. Congressman Rob Portman from 1993-97, first as a caseworker and later as a legislative aide.
Mills is a Mount Lookout resident who co-chairs the Hamilton County Republican Party's Leadership Council, a young professional networking organization. She's also worked in the Congressional offices of Portman and Jean Schmidt.
