In this week’s issue of CityBeat you can read my feature about
Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati’s first regional production of the rock musical Next to Normal, a real coup for them.
Locally audiences have been responding, and the first week is nearly sold out, except
for the new Saturday matinee series, a good bet if you want to get in soon. I’ve
also learned that several other weekend performances throughout the run are very
full and starting to have limited availability. You can still find good seats for
the entire run, but I suggest you make a reservation as soon as possible.
(Note: Because of ETC's production calendar, Next to Normal will NOT
be extended.)
Although there won’t be many seats
available on performance days for Next to
Normal, it’s worth noting that ETC has a new RUSH PRICING policy this season. Starting two hours prior to
each performance (that means at 5:30 p.m. for most dates), all remaining
tickets are available for half-price. (This discount does not apply to senior
or children's tickets.) You can call ahead (513-421-3555) or buy in person during
this two-hour window. Rush tickets and seating subject to availability at the time
of purchase.
Just for students there are now $12 rush tickets, a radicaldiscount.
These are available to any full-time student age 13 or older for $12 each. Like
regular rush tickets, these are available in the two hours prior to each
performance. Students mustcome
to the box office in person and present a valid student I.D. to make these
purchases. There is a limit of twotickets per valid I.D.
