Come to MainStrasse Village to see over 250 cars along the Sixth Street Promenade for the eighth annual Mainstrasse Car Show. The show will have classics to modern cars and antiques to hot rods, all from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Awards will be given at 4 p.m. to the top 50 cars overall and to the top 40 pre-1980 and 10 post-1980 cars. Additional awards will be given in 10 Best-of categories.  

Looking for a drinking experience that doesn't involve blaring sports games or endless bottles of Bud? Head to Japp's in Over-the-Rhine as it hosts its first event since reopening — the 4th Annual St. Germain Can-Can Cocktail Classic. The classic will feature local bartenders Molly Wellmann of Japp's, Susy Mulroy of LaPoste and The Comet and Jeannie Murray of JR's Table.  

Looking for hidden treasure this weekend? MainStrasse Antiques, Etc. is the place to be. MainStrasse will be holding its monthly event for anyone looking for antiques or vintage items. The event is free and open to the public. Guests are welcome to peruse the jewelry, furniture, books and toys on sell by local and independent vendors.  

A criminal sentencing reform bill approved last month is estimated to save Ohio taxpayers more than $46 million during the next four years, but some argue that it has a more important purpose. Ohio House Bill No. 86 reduces penalties for many low-level nonviolent criminals in the state, reduces sentencing for inmates who exhibit good behavior and helps inmates find employment.  

Looking for more than fireworks this Fourth of July weekend? How about hot air balloons? Coney Island will host the 12th-annual LaRosa's Balloon Glow. As many as 15 hot air balloons will illuminate the sky, glowing in every color of the rainbow. The Balloon Glow starts at 8 p.m., but the fun starts long before.  

Three months after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved Hilton Davis’ plan to clean up its industrial site in Pleasant Ridge, no progress has been made and some residents still are concerned about the plan’s details, calling them inadequate. The agency and Hilton Davis worked together for years to come to an agreement on how to clean the contaminated site, located at 2235 Langdon Farm Road, after decades of toxic waste had been dumped there.  

Spend the weekend experiencing nature in Cincinnati's backyard: the Ohio River. Come join Ohio River Way as they host the 10th annual Paddlefest. Saturday is the main event with a 8.2 mile float trip, 11 mile amateur race and 14 mile pro race down the Ohio Rive in kayaks and canoes. Live music, water stops and loads of other paddlers will keep you company on your river adventure.
