Celebrate Labor Day and the end of summer in the most exciting way possible this year at Cincinnati Riverfest. Since 1977, Riverfest has drawn over 500,000 people out to enjoy live performances and the Cincinnati Bell/WEBN fireworks featuring Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks live on the river. The two top viewing spots are Newport on the Levee and downtown at Sawyer Point.

Well, this Friday you can bring those days and Disco back to life with the Final Friday OTR Skate party at Over-the-Rhine Recreation Center (1715 Republic St.). Hunt down those long-lost skates and come out for a night of skating, Disco music, roller games and more.  

Summer is coming to an end, but there is still time to experience food, drinks and entertainment from all over the world — all while sticking around Cincinnati. Explore delicious and exotic tastings from Chinese and Vietnamese to Korean, Thai and Indian while enjoying live music, artistic cultural performances, games and beer. Chicken Lays an Egg is a colorful vintage store in Northside that has everything from men’s, women’s and children’s clothes to artwork, housewares, toys, handmade items and more. To add to the excitement it already offers, CLAE is producing its first official fashion show Saturday at Memorial Hall.  

Summer is the perfect time to check out concerts and live music around Cincinnati. Hundreds of people crowding the stage and singing along might be expected at most concerts, but at Music on the Trails you can enjoy live music in a more unique and enjoyable way. The Cincinnati Park Board presents the final day of its original concert series in Burnet Woods Sunday from 1-3 p.m.  

Summer is the best time to get outside and enjoy the warm weather in Cincinnati, and it is always a good time to find inexpensive unique goods, enjoy delicious food and drinks and meet all different kinds of people. There is no better way to get the entire experience all at once than by checking out the new monthly urban flea market, City Flea, taking place this Saturday, Aug. 6 and Sept. 3.  

Every Fourth of July brings family, friends, food and fireworks, but the Northside Rock ’N Roll Carnival celebrates America’s birthday on a whole different level. The free carnival/parade/festival includes fire breathers, drag shows, sword swallowers and a bed of nails, plus tons of food, drinks, specialty vendors and some of your favorite local bands performing every night.
