A longtime labor union activist with a Masters Degree in history, he currently resides in northwest Indiana with his wife Lucille.
MILLENNICON® is the primary fund raiser for the Miami Valley Fandom for Literacy®. The Miami Valley Fandom for Literacy (MVFL) is a non-profit public charity, 501(c) 3 status, recognized in the state of Ohio and by the Internal Revenue Service. It was created in 1995 due to two main factors: general statistics of declining literacy and science achievement of American young people, and the lack of young people among groups which enjoyed science fiction and fantasy literature.
The main purpose of MVFL is to promote an interest in the sciences, math and space sciences, in the literature of science fiction and fantasy and in creative writing. This is achieved through providing literature and funds to non-profit institutions such as schools, hospitals, and libraries.
