Uniquely Ukraine- Paintings by David Miretsky and Svetlana Derenshuk
5-8 p.m. , Friday February 17 | Free.
Miretsky's intimate minature paintings lend insight into human characters. He has borrowed imagery from his native Soviet Union blending it with what he has found in American culture to display the potential tenderness in human relationships. Derenshuk's contemporary folk paintings utilize the tradition of icon painting in the Ukraine to express her love of humanity and the world in which she lives. The exhibit runs through March 31.
