Prokofiev's 'Lieutenant Kije' Suite sets the tone for the evening's star Branford Marsalis, genius alto saxophone of the jazz and classical worlds. Andrey Boreyko conducts huge orchestral forces for the shimmering exoticism of Scriabin's 'The Poem of Ecstasy'. Also featuring ter Veldhuis 'Tallahatchie' Concerto and Barber 'Night Flight'.
