This is an event that only happens once every 14 months, it's not a full moon but a super moon. Coinciding with the 14 month cycle is a full-moon that looks 14 percent larger in the night sky. At 8:27 p.m. the moon will rise over the horizon and you will be there to see it, the Supermoon experience includes tours of the observatory and the opportunity to view Venus and Saturn through historic telescopes.
