 James Welling, whose work has transformed contemporary art photography, will receive his first definitive career survey.  Welling has created beautiful and uncompromising photographs for over 35 years.  Operating between painting, sculpture and traditional photography, the artist is enthralled with the possibilities of what one can do with what we call photography today. Welling is best known for his <i>Glass House</i> series, which explored concepts of realism and transparency with architect Philip Johnson's house in Connecticut.
