The Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati presents a regional premiere of The Whipping Man. The Whipping Man, written by Matthew Lopez, is the story of three men during the post Civil War period. Caleb DeLeon, a Jewish Confederate soldier, returns home to find it in ruins and all but abandoned except for two former slaves Simon and John. Themes explored within the play focus on family secrets and master and slave relationships. Through Feb 12.
