If you're thinking about dropping by Taste of Cincinnati this weekend, make sure you come downtown on Sunday, when the 'CityBeat Stage Presented by Riverbend Summer 2010' features a stellar collection of national up-and-comers and local heroes: The Hood Internet from Chicago, Visqueen from Seattle and locals You You're Awesome, Buckra and Daughters and Sons.  

Covington is gaining another new original music club this week, further upgrading its status as one of the premier destinations for music lovers in Greater Cincinnati. Radiodown was Frank Hulefeld's first stab at a live music venue several years back when it opened above Tickets Sports Cafe, and Hulefeld went on to develop The Mad Hatter. The new Radiodown opens behind the Hatter this weekend.  

Two of Cincinnati's most likely next-big-thing contenders, All the Day Holiday and Pomegranates spent 2009 working superb new records. ATDH's lush Dream Pop was introduced to the world via 'All the Things We've Grown to Love,' their stunning debut for Linc Star/Warner Brothers, while the Poms continued their underground surge with the magical 'Everybody, Come Outside!' (which also saw release in the U.K.) on Lujo Records.
