Following in the footsteps of Frank
Robinson, Josh Hamilton could forever be the one who got away from the
Reds. But the reason Hamilton was deemed expendable (wrongly, in
retrospect) keeps popping up, while Robinson’s exile is still a mystery.
I had done it a thousand times. Jumped in
their car, drove through the tunnel, turned right out of it and then
right into the underground parking lot. I did it for those who arrived
late, or those who didn’t want to deal with the fans.
The Cincinnati Reds today probably won their first Central Division championship since 1995 when the St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates and/or the Reds defeated the Houston Astros. Should this not have occurred, it is expected to happen the following day or the next. Barry Larkin is my favorite player.
