For Hawthorne Heights' Wind-Up Records debut, the foursome has added an Electronic element to at least some of their Power Pop Punk repertoire. But HH's evolution might further alienate some of the band's rabid fan base who view any departure from their Screamo roots as a capitulation to Modern Rock trends.  

When Stone Temple Pilots went on a less than harmonious hiatus seven years ago, no one could have guessed that they still had one of their best albums ever ahead of them. But the band's new eponymous album not only represents STP's personal best — it could very well be one of this year's defining releases.  

When you hear the soaring Post Hardcore roar of Dayton's successful Hawthorne Heights, the first thing you think is probably not, "Wow, that tune would sound great around a campfire performed on just an acoustic guitar." But singer JT Woodruff will do just that (minus the campfire) Saturday in the Southgate House's intimate Parlour room, the same venue in which the Heights filmed a music video and, more recently, performed the final show of their 2009 tour.
