As the old adage says, “preparation meets opportunity” is often the path to success in the music world. However, a little luck doesn’t hurt, either. When you talk about the career of Ryan Bingham, all of the above is true.     

Kevin Lyman has seen the future of Country music, and he's bringing it to an amphitheater near you in the form of the Country Throwdown Tour. Featuring a bill dominated by the scene's rising stars, the package tour on several levels embodies the new world Lyman expects the Country music industry and its artists to face in the not-distant future.  

Another crazy week in Bakerville, and it's only going to get more hectic as the weeks proceed. My daughter's last day of school is next Thursday and, once she's home for the summer, my daily schedule gets slightly more complicated. But I'm excited to check out new CDs from Ryan Bingham, Iggy Pop, Daddy, Elvis Costello and Mark Everett and Eels.
