“I really always wanted to be comedian, and I always knew this would be my life,” she says. She tried her hand at stand-up comedy at age 14 and by 16 she was performing regularly.
“By the time I was 18 or 19, I was pretty much set into what I was going to do. Very focused.”
It was around this time that she entered a stand-up contest. First prize, which she captured, was a slot as the opening act for comedy king Jerry Seinfeld. From there it was on to Los Angeles and appearances on the Arsenio Hall Show, as well as a Bob Hope special and a tour of colleges nationwide.
Since then she’s worked behind and in front of the camera for both the big screen and TV.
