No word yet on the 2021 film schedule, but the drive-in will celebrate the new season with a drive-in concert.

Although COVID-19 cases are on the decline in Cincinnati and around the state, some entertainment options are still riskier than others. Luckily, you can still enjoy a night out to the movies from the comfort of your uncontaminated car.

In a recent Facebook post, Starlite Drive-In in Amelia shares that it will re-open March 19 for the 2021 season. Last year, the drive-in movie theater delayed its opening in accordance with the Ohio Department of Health's “Stay Safe Ohio” order

But this year, Starlite Drive-In is opening on time, with COVID-19 precautions still in place. This includes an online ticket-ordering ordering system, concession window service (the concession lobby is closed), online food orders, and requiring masks when patrons leave their vehicles. Movie-goers are also expected to abide by social distancing guidelines.

Starlite Drive-In, which has been operating since 1947, will be announcing featured movies at a later date. Right now, movie tickets are $9 for people 12 years and older, and $5 for children 4 to 11 years old. Tickets are $7.50 for seniors (60+), first responders, and active military.

The drive-in already has announced a drive-in concert performance by Christian rock artist Zach Williams on April 18. Tickets are sold by parking zone with Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Value options. Tickets and more information about the live concert are available here.
