If you’re an artist who works with light, your illuminating work could be featured in Cincinnati’s 2019 BLINK art and light festival.
“If you have a unique, brilliant idea, BLINK is looking for you,” said Tamara Harkavy, CEO and artistic director of ArtWorks and light-based installation curator for BLINK, in a press release. “We’re looking locally and regionally for diverse and original concepts that will engage and amaze BLINK’s audience of more than one million.”
The application process is open to artists and collaborative groups who work all manner of media and disciplines as long as their work is “interactive” and “light-based.”
Work will be accepted based on selection by a jury panel consisting of representatives from ArtsWave, the Contemporary Arts Center and other “community curators.”
If you want to learn more about the application process, you can attend an informational session 6-7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (1195 Elm St., OTR). And if you don’t even want to bother with that, you can visit blinkcincinnati.com/artistapplication starting Friday, Nov. 30 to apply. Applications are due by Jan. 28, 2019.
