The 21c Museum Hotel is playing up the dawn of 2020 by inviting New Year's Eve partygoers to celebrate the new decade with their sights set to a 20/20 future, says a release. And part of that future includes lasers.
Lapis Laser Display, which installed "a 'light ceiling' made up of lasers, mirrors, and fog machines" in Gano Alley next to the hotel during BLINK 2019, has created an installation on the second-floor gallery inside the hotel. The first 300 guests to the 20/20 New Year's Eve party at 21c will get special diffraction glasses to "heighten the technicolor effects" of the installation, according to a release.

In addition the second-floor laser display, guests can head to the ballroom for music by DJ Glittertitz and a dance floor peppered withe members of DANCEFIX, who will be leading various dances. There will also be a photobooth with a one-of-a-kind backdrop to capture memories of the night.
A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit OneSight, which helps underserved communities both locally and internationally gain access to better eyesight.
The party runs 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. Tickets are $35 on Eventbrite and $40 at the door (cash only). Admission includes two drink tickets, according to the Eventbrite link.
The 21c Museum Hotel is located at 609 Walnut St., Downtown.
