Streaks are all over the glass at Heritage Bank Center – and have become a major part of the Cincinnati Cyclones' season.

The Cyclones set a new points streak with their 2-1 win over the Fort Wayne Komets on March 19, climbing into first place in the ECHL's Central Division. The Cyclones now have recorded points in 18 straight games, breaking the record of 17 that was set in 2008. As of Sunday's game, the Cyclones are 40-12-6-3 with 89 points for the 2022-2023 season.

The achievement comes about a week after hitting a 15-game point streak and clinching a spot in the Kelly Cup playoffs.

In 2022, Cincinnati saw ECHL Kelly Cup playoff action for the first time since the 2018-2019 season, getting to the semi-finals with head coach Jason Payne taking his
inaugural year at the helm. The 'Clones have been crowned the Kelly Cup champs twice in their history, with the last time being in 2010.

The Kelly Cup will begin in April and game dates will be determined by standings. Division semi-finals are scheduled to begin April 19, with championship finals being played June 2-14.

Next up, the Cyclones will head out for a three-game road series against the Utah Grizzlies before returning to Cincinnati to host the South Carolina Stingrays  on March 31.
