Design, architecture and culture publication Architectural Digest has named Cincinnati as one of its five best design destinations for October. Yes. Us. We did it. The Queen City is listed alongside global hot spots New York City, Istanbul, Mexico City and Eindhoven (not necessarily a household name, but it is the fifth largest city in the Netherlands).

The mag rounded up travel-worthy places with inspiring architecture and design events — like the Istanbul Biennial and Dutch Design Week — and AD highlighted both BLINK 2019 and the 21c Museum Hotel:

Over a million people attended the inaugural Blink festival in 2017, and this year’s edition promises to be the biggest and best yet. From October 10–13, this massive festival of light and art will take over Cincinnati and—for the first time ever—extend across the Ohio River to Kentucky. Expect projection mapping, street art murals, interactive light sculptures, and music along the riverfront. The place to stay is the 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati, which features site-specific works, rotating exhibits, and a hip restaurant.

With large-scale national call-outs like this, it does seem like BLINK 2019 will in fact be bigger and better than ever.
