Cincinnatians won't have to travel far this season to check out one of America's best winter vacation destinations... because they're already there.
In a recent report, WalletHub named Cincinnati one of the top 10 best winter holiday destinations in America.
The study looked at almost 70 of the largest metros in the U.S. and then grouped them into "warm" or "cold" locations. WalletHub then rated each based on 39 metrics, including how convenient and cheap it was to travel there, and the number of winter attractions.
The Greater Cincinnati metro took home the No. 8 spot, sandwiched between Denver at No. 7 and Kansas City, Missouri at No. 9. Atlanta took home No. 1 honors.
In addition, Cincinnati ranked in the top 5 for lowest travel costs and lowest local costs.
