Cincinnati Pops Livestreams Halloween Favorites from Music Hall, Including Songs from 'Psycho' and 'Harry Potter'

The Pops will perform a slew of spooky movie tunes and Dia de los Muertos songs, plus a narration of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, led by actor Damon Gupton (Criminal Minds).

The Cincinnati Pops are helping set the stage for your own Halloween party with a livestream of spooky tunes and Dia de los Muertos favorites from Music Hall.

The Pops, conducted by John Morris Russell, will perform a slew of both horror movie songs and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, narrated by actor Damon Gupton (Criminal Minds). 

Tune into the Pops' website at 8 p.m. Oct. 31 for the free show: "Live From Music Hall: Autumn Celebration."

The full program includes:

  • Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor"
  • Piazzolla's "Otoño Porteño" (or "Autumn") from Cuatro estaciones porteñas (Four Seasons of Buenos Aires)
  • Sibelius' "Valse Triste" from Kuolema
  • "Murder" from the classic Hitchcock horror Psycho
  • Selections from Jordan Peele's Us
  • John Williams' "The Harry Potter Children's Suite: for orchestra
  • Debussy's Clair de Lune
  • Sousa's Nobles of the Mystic Shrine
  • and the "La Llorona," about the traditional Hispanic tale of the weeping woman
