The Queen City has an undying love affair with its sports teams. With FC Cincinnati becoming a Major League Soccer team, we are now home to three major professional sports teams (including the Bengals and Reds). We stand behind our teams through the good times and bad and we enjoy the camaraderie and community that comes together when we support and cheer them on.

According to personal-finance website WalletHub, Cincinnati is the No. 1 midsize city for sports and we ranked No. 15 in the best overall sports cities countdown. The system based the ranking from the fan's perspective and reviewed data for 419 cities. The data looked at more than 50 key metrics that focused on football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer –– five of the nation's most popular sports — to find the best sports hubs in the U.S.

In the overall ranking, Cincinnati was just behind No. 13 Denver and just ahead of Cleveland, Ohio, which came in at No. 16. In the midsize sports city category, Cincinnati beat out Green Bay, Wisc., which came in at No. 2.

Out of the best cities for sports fans, Cincinnati ranked No. 10 for football fans, No. 53 basketball fans, No. 7 for baseball fans and No. 21 for soccer fans.
