Local nonprofit Cincinnati ReUse Center is spreading some holiday cheer this season by donating live Christmas trees to families in need.

"In a year that's been down for many, we want to do what we can to brighten some spirits," a Facebook post from Cincinnati ReUse Center reads.

"We reached out to our AWESOME donors about putting together a Live Christmas Tree giveaway to those either in need or less fortunate this year, and man did they respond!"

The nonprofit will have 75 live trees (with more potentially on their way) that range in height from 4 to 7 feet tall (that retails roughly $30-$90, according to the post).

The giveaway will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, and they will be giving away one tree per customer. They note in the post that those interested in taking one home should bring a truck or van, string and someone to help load.

Additionally, the Cincinnati ReUse Center said if you're interested in being entered into a giveaway, folks should like, tag a friend and share the post. The winner could take home a $100 gift card. "Double the entries if you leave us a review on Google(Cincinnati ReUse Center). Good luck," the post reads.

Cincinnati ReUse Center is located at 1530 Tremont St., South Fairmount.
