New York Times bestselling illustrator Richard Cowdrey will be at the Cincinnati Zoo on Thursday, Dec. 12 to sign copies of the picture book A Very Fiona Christmas, the follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Fiona the Hippo.
The event will take place at the Zoo's main gift shop on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. Visit the Zoo's website for more event info.
A Very Fiona Christmas features, of course, the Cincinnati Zoo's superstar baby hippo, who was born prematurely in 2017 and became a global viral sensation. The book follows Fiona's adventures as she searches for the meaning of the holiday. The book was published by Zondervan, a Christian publishing company based in Michigan.
"With the zoo lights shining and a festive feeling in the air, Fiona goes searching for the true meaning of the holiday," the book's Amazon description reads. "She slides down a snowy bank with the penguins, admires the zoo's Christmas tree, and meets reindeer, but still seeks an answer: 'What's Christmas, Mama?' "
The next Fiona book — Fiona, It's Bedtime — is due in April 2020.
