Cincinnati Zoo's Fiona Will Send You a Personalized Message Through the Cameo App

Of course, Fiona is a hippo and cannot speak English — that we know of — but she may munch on some lettuce and nuzzle her mom Bibi while a zookeeper relays your message.

You can now send (or receive, if you're lucky) a personalized message from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden's famed hippo princess Fiona through the Cameo app.

Of course, Fiona is a hippo and cannot speak English — that we know of — but she may munch on some lettuce and nuzzle her mom Bibi while senior zookeeper Jenna Wingate or another member of Fiona's care team relays your requested message.

It costs $50 to book a cameo with Fiona, but it goes to a good a cause.

"The money will be contributed to our More Home to Roam capital campaign," explained Michelle Curley, communications director for the Cincinnati Zoo via email.

"More Home to Roam funds will be used to transform animals habitats, improve visitor experience and accessibility, support conservation efforts and help us achieve our goal to be Net Zero by 2025! Our campaign goal is $150 million, which we obviously can’t reach just by doing Cameo greetings, but it will help!"

If you're not familiar with the app, Cameo features a wide selection of actors, musicians, athletes (and famous hippos), who you can request a personalized message from. Prices are different depending on the celebrity, for example, a Cameo from Gilbert Gottfried costs $150 and a cameo from Bam Margera costs $65. The highest we saw on the list was Shark Tank's Kevin O’Leary aka Mr. Wonderful for $1,200.
