Musicians, performers and stage crew can get free haircuts and other services through Aug. 31 at Cincinnati's Aveda Fredric's Institute.

After going dark for more than a year as a result of the pandemic, stages across the country are once again lighting up with live performances — and performers.

And to help get them "back on stage in style," Aveda Fredric's Institutes across the country are providing certain salon services to musicians, performers and stage crew for free through Aug. 31. Locally, services are available at the Aveda Fredric's at 7664 Voice of America Centre Drive, West Chester.

“We know that last year was tough for everyone but particularly challenging for those in the live music, theater and performing arts communities," Patrick J. Thompson, president of the Aveda Fredric’s Institutes in Cincinnati and Indianapolis (as well as the Nurtur Aveda Institutes in Columbus, Chapel Hill and Los Angeles), tells CityBeat via email. "In line with our mission of giving back to the community we serve, we are extending free services at our Aveda Fredric’s Institutes and Aveda Institutes to performing art professionals so that the musicians, performers, sound engineers and all others who help bring music and theater to life can get back work feeling ready to rock.”

Services included in the promo are haircuts, color retouch, all-over color, simple and partial highlights and all spa services.

All you need to do to receive the free cut is to say "stage." No other credentials are required.
