Cincy Shirts has released a new T-shirt to raise money for the care of the animals affected by the massive wildfires in Australia. And they're getting a little help from a hometown icon.
The new shirts feature Cincinnati Zoo fave Fiona the hippo cuddling up with a koala bear and a kangaroo. "Support Our Friends Down Under" the shirt reads. Cincinnati artist Loren Long illustrated the shirts.
The effort — in conjunction with the Cincinnati Zoo — is to raise money for the Zoos Victoria's Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund. All proceeds from the shirts' sales will be donated to the cause.
"From the Queen City to Queensland, help us and the Cincinnati Zoo raise money for the Australian Wildfires relief effort," reads the product description at cincyshirts.com, where they're available for $25. The shirts come in peach and light blue, and there are youth and toddler options for $20 and $17, respectively.
In a tweet, the Cincinnati Zoo said they will add $5,000 to the total amount raised for the charity.
The shirt is only available through Jan. 31. You can score one (or more!) at cincyshirts.com or pick one up at a Cincy Shirts store beginning Jan. 22.
