College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corp is hosting a socially distant Memorial Day Weekend event that is sure to entertain.

Kicking off on Friday, May 22, the parking lot of College Hill's historic Hollywood Theater is being transformed into a drive-in movie theater on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with different films screened each night.

Tickets cost $20 per car. The link to purchase your ticket goes live at noon on Friday, May 15.

Originally, the event was planned for one evening (Friday), but the organization has since decided to continued the event through the weekend. The CHCURC posted made a post on their Instagram asking the public to help them decide on what films should be played, and these were the winners:

On Friday, May 22, The Sandlot will be screened; Saturday, May 23, The Greatest Showman will be screened; Sunday, May 24, Hidden Figures will be screened and on Monday, May 25, Night at the Museum will be screened.

"College Hill CURC hosts this event in hopes to drive local business and give community members a safe way to have a night out," a press release from the CHCURC reads. "This event gives the community a chance to reconnect with each other in a safe way."

Local restaurants will be offering free delivery during the event — meals must be purchased in advanced at time of ticket purchase.
