Columbus' epic science center COSI hosts a monthly adults-only After Dark series, in which the entire facility is kid-free and open for exploration with special activities, games, crafts and experiences throughout the massive building, plus a cash bar with craft beer and themed cocktails.
The series presents a different theme each month, with January's event delving into the magical world of Wizard School. "Never received your acceptance letter? Now is your chance to attend Wizard School! Bring your best robes and wands and represent your house at COSI After Dark," the event listing reads.
Specific events have not yet been announced, but there will be a buffet with themed dishes like Bangers and Mash, Hagrid's "Stoat" Sandwiches, Treacle Tart and Mrs. Dursley's Pudding.
(This all, of course, resembles the lore surrounding a young wizard whose name rhymes with "Larry Kotter," though that's not explicit in the promotional info, likely for legal reasons.)
Tickets cost $14 for members, $20 in advance for non-members or $25 at the door for non-members. COSI offers discounted pricing for groups of 12 or more at $16 a person. The dinner buffet is not included in the ticket price; an all-you-can-eat wristband costs an additional $16.25.
Future themes for the COSI After Dark events include dinosaurs, superheroes and "May the Fourth Be With You."
