Kanye West has been quite active on social media channels as of late, recently announcing that he's running for president this fall, and — over the past 24 hours or so — bombarding Twitter with a series of Tweets about his family trying to hospitalize him and relating his life to the film Get Out, later deleting them all.
But West's family aren't the only ones concerned about him. According to a rather uncomfortable video posted by Kanye this afternoon, comedian (and Yellow Springs resident) Dave Chappelle visited his Wyoming ranch to check on him.
During the 1 minute and 40 second video — that somehow lasts a lifetime — West asks Chappelle to "please, just make us smile," asking him to tell an uplifting joke, with cringeworthy pauses and blank stares into the camera. And Chappelle is, of course, as good of a sport as he could be in this on-the-spot scenario.
Give it a gander for yourself:

Besides being a good friend who is willing to fly to Wyoming to check on his buddy, Chappelle has also been staying busy despite the current COVID closures and restrictions. He has recently begun hosting intimate, celebrity-packed comedy pop-ups in his rural Ohio hometown with temperature checks, masks, special guests and no cell phones.
*Also, mental health is obviously not a joke. If you're in crisis, here are some resources from the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
