Breakups can be crappy, but Animal Friends Humane Society in Hamilton has a new fundraiser to make things stink less – or more, actually.
Now, we don’t want to shit on your ex, but a cat probably will. From now until Feb. 12, donate $5 to the shelter to have an ex-partner’s name written inside a litter box.
“Don't spend this Valentines Day down in the dumps! Instead, cheer yourself up while making a difference for animals in need!” Animal Friends wrote on Facebook.
Animal Friends goes on to say that they will take a video of all the names written in the litter boxes and will post it to social media on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. The cats will take it from there.
There are two ways to donate to the shelter. On Venmo, find them under the handle @AFHStreasurer2011. In the comment section, put the poop emoji and the name of the ex. Scorned lovers can also stop by the shelter to donate and add an ex’s name to a jar.
