More playoff hockey is coming to Cincinnati.

During the March 11 game against the Tulsa Oilers, the Cincinnati Cyclones cemented postseason action with a 4-1 win on the road. With the victory, the 'Clones became the third team in the ECHL to clinch a spot in the Kelly Cup playoffs.

With the win, the team's point streak stretched to 15 games and sits at a franchise-best eight-game span on the road. As of press time, the Cyclones have a 37-12-6-3 record with 83 points.

In 2022, Cincinnati saw ECHL Kelly Cup playoff action for the first time since the 2018-2019 season, getting to the semi-finals with head coach Jason Payne at the helm for the first time. The 'Clones have been crowned the Kelly Cup champs twice in their history, with the last time being in 2010.

The Kelly Cup will begin in April and game dates will be determined by standings. Division semi-finals are scheduled to begin April 19, with championship finals being played June 2-14.

In the meantime, the Cyclones have about 30 more days left in the regular 2022-2023 season, with the next game slated against the Iowa Heartlanders at Heritage Bank Center on March 17. During the game, for which players will wear green St. Patrick's Day jerseys, fans can catch a glimpse of the Kelly Cup itself as it makes its way through the ECHL as part of a six-city tour. The following night is another game with the Heartlanders, with the Cyclones giving away Twister toothbrush holders. See the full schedule on the Cyclones' website.
