The temperature is dropping and so are Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden's admission prices.

Cleverly dubbed ‘Penguin Days,’ the zoo is offering discounted tickets every day from Jan. 18 through March 12 during the wintertime promotion. Ticket prices vary from $7.50-$9.

Even cooler? On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, visitors can participate penguin parades and daily penguin encounters.

Starting at 11 a.m., as long as temperatures are below 50 degrees, masked and socially distanced guests can walk among the zoo’s king penguins like they're Cincinnati royalty.

From Jan. 18 through Feb. 28 guests can enjoy daily penguin encounters at 11 a.m. outside of the Wings of the World Bird House at the Free-Flight Aviary. Visit with Rockhopper and Magellanic on non-holiday Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m.

Warm up at zoo's other indoor habitats, where you can learn about insects, bonobos, manatees, bats, reptiles and more. You can also swing by the indoor gorilla habitat.
