Cincinnati Sports Club’s adults-only outdoor resort opened on April 15; the earliest opening date of any outdoor pool in Cincinnati and a much-needed getaway for those looking for a sweet escape.
The new 2,000-square-foot outdoor pool is only for those 21 years of age and older and includes a poolside bar and café (opening Memorial Day Weekend), lounge pool with steps, and a hot and cool tub.
While in a non-COVID year, the pool space can fit 250 lounge chairs, table seating and bar seating, capacity is temporarily limited to 150 in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
The adult-only outdoor pool is the eighth aquatic facility to open at CSC. The sports club also features two hot tubs, two indoor saltwater pools, a main outdoor pool, a children’s zero-entry pool and splash pad. Membership is required to access the pools and CSC.
The CSC intends on keeping the adult-only pool open long past Labor Day, into November — that means the outdoor pool season will be eight months long.
“Our members have indicated that they enjoy exercising outdoors, even in the crisp winter and spring months,” said Marco Fiorini, Interim General Manager at the Cincinnati Sports Club, in a press release. “For this reason, we are continually looking for innovative, new ways to provide them with many types of year-round workouts in the fresh outdoors.”
In the press release, Fiorini also said that the club will also be extending the pool’s hours of operation to accommodate members that prefer to get some laps in during the early morning hours as well as those who like to swim and hang out later in the evening.
The pool will be open 5 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Saturday; and 7 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sunday.
CSC is accessible by three street entrances: 3950 Red Bank Road, 5535 Murray Ave. and 3939 Virginia Ave.
