Cavalcade of Customs

The 59th-annual Cavalcade of Customs car show returns to the Duke Energy Convention Center for a weekend’s worth of customs cars, classics, hot rods, trucks, motorcycles and more. If you like shiny paint jobs, chop shops and pin-up girls, you’re probably going to like this show.

Celebrity guests WWE superstar Kevin Owens, NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., John Schneider (aka Bo Duke from Dukes of Hazzard) and hot rod designer Dave Kindig will be there at certain times throughout the weekend; a pin-up girl contest takes place on Saturday (with prize money); and all weekend long, check out pedal cars built by automotive students in the Pedal Car Challenge, save on auto parts and supplies from KOI, watch various live demos and check out generations of sprint cars, bobbers, customs and more.

3-10 p.m. Friday (Jan. 11); 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 12); 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 13). $19; $7 kids 6-12; free 5 and under; discounts available at KOI stores. Duke Energy Convention Center, 525 Elm St., Downtown, koiautoparts.com/cavalcade.
