The Splatter Room

As restaurants, movie theaters and bars open with fewer restrictions, many Cincinnatians may be looking for their next night out. A dinner-for-two or a bucket of popcorn with a movie is always a solid idea, but you might want something more unique.

The Splatter Room opened on Feb. 26 in Over-the-Rhine as the perfect “different” day or night out.

Located at 1112 Race Street, The Splatter Room is a new concept in partnership with OTR Escape that OTR says is Cincinnati’s first splatter room. After booking an experience for you and your friends, you will each receive one 12”x16” blank canvas upon arrival. Protective gear such as goggles, full-body ponchos, shower caps and booties are provided.

All of this culminates into a fun, paint-flinging experience in which you and your group can create pieces of splatter art while listening to music (by way of an onsite Alexa) and imbibing a bit (The Splatter Room is BYOB).

Currently, The Splatter Room is offering a free canvas upgrade as part of its grand opening special, which expires on March 21.

The Splatter Room welcomes all ages, and prices vary on group size. One to three painters is $32.99 per painter, 4-5 is $30.99, 6-7 is $28.99 and 8+ painters is $26.99 before tax. You can also play free within seven days before or after your birthday.
