'Float-In' Movie Nights Return to Great Parks of Hamilton County Lakes This Summer

Swap your car for a rowboat.

Swap your car for a rowboat during Great Parks of Hamilton County's "float-in" movie nights this summer.

During four dates this season, guests can rent a boat and take to lakes in various Great Parks to watch family-friendly films while floating on the water.

The series kicks off on May 13 with Clueless at Lake Isabella (10174 Loveland-Madeira Road, Loveland). Rowboat rental is $40 and each boat seats four people, at least one of whom must be 18 or older. Great Parks says concessions will be available.

The rest of the summer series features:

  • Jungle Cruise on June 3 at Winton Woods Harbor (10245 Winton Woods, Springfield Township)
  • Hairspray on July 8 at Miami Whitewater Forest Harbor (9001 Mt. Hope Road, Harrison)
  • Ghostbusters: Afterlife on Aug. 19 at Winton Woods Harbor (10245 Winton Woods, Springfield Township)

Movies begin at 9:30 p.m. Advance registration is required at reservations.greatparks.org.

Registration is not yet live for movies other than Clueless, but all will cost $40 per boat. A motor vehicle permit is also required to enter the parks. A permit costs $10 annually for county residents.
