People all over America are looking for a break from quarantine life, so Forbes is encouraging folks to find theirs in Cincinnati.

The media company includes Cincinnati on its list of top three COVID-safe road trip destinations for 2021. Highlighting that more Americans are interested in driving instead of flying right now, Forbes is looking at locations that allow for plenty of social distancing while providing points of interest.

Forbes makes the case for Cincy’s outdoor activities, starting with the 164-step Art Climb that leads to the Cincinnati Art Museum. As CityBeat reported last year, the staircase is nine stories high and has 16 landings as well as a magnificent view of the city.

Forbes also calls out the many trails that connect Cincinnati with Northern Kentucky. “The brand-new Ohio River Recreational Trail boasts 274 miles of adventure on and along the Ohio River between Portsmouth and Louisville, Kentucky, while the shady, 78-mile Little Miami Scenic Trail—the nation’s longest paved trail network— connects Loveland to Yellow Springs and beyond to Springfield,” Forbes writes.

Tours of Over-the-Rhine, local drive-in theatres and boutique hotels also are in Forbes’ roundup of things to see and do this year in the Queen City.

Forbes also includes Hudson, New York, and Loudoun County, Virginia among its road trip destinations for 2021. Read about all of the recommended excursions.
