Ready to brave the cicadas and explore the great outdoors? Well, if your idea of "outdoorsy" is more drinking wine on a patio than going for a hike, here are four fun pop-up shopping markets to visit this weekend, offering locally made and vintage goods plus some food, drinks and even live music.
The City Flea
The City Flea is back with its second market of the season on June 5. Founded in 2011, the City Flea has been a vital part of the small business community of Cincinnati for a decade. Having hosted hundreds of local vendors to date, the market offers a platform for local entrepreneurs and creators to introduce their goods to the community and grow their businesses. From food to plants to jewelry to vintage dealers, there’s something for almost everyone at every market — including food. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. June 5. Free admission. Summerfair Cincinnati
Returning to Coney Island, the 54th-annual Summerfair Cincinnati will take place June 4-6. Artist work will be featured across 12 categories: photography, painting, drawing/printmaking, wood, metal, sculpture, glass, ceramics, fibers, leather, jewelry and 2D/3D mixed media. There will also be a special "Gourmet Arts" zone with food and drink options. And this year — along with exhibitions and vendors — live music returns. Regional performers will be playing throughout the weekend. Noon-7 p.m. June 4; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. June 5; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 6. Art on Vine
Art on Vine is returning to Fountain Square on June 6 for another round of showcasing local artists and their wares. Shoppers can explore goods from more than 70 vendors. Vendors get the chance to build relationships with returning customers and fellow artists in addition to having a monthly platform for selling their art. Noon-6 p.m. June 6. Free admission. Tri-State Antique Market
The Tri-State Antique Market takes over the Lawrenceburg Indiana Fairgrounds on June 6 with more than 200 antiques and vintage-only dealers. From estate jewelry and Civil War tintype to 19th-century primitives and Pop Art, everything must be at least 30 years old and out of production. It’s a show for collectors and casual shoppers alike. 7 a.m.-3 p.m. June 6. $4 adults; free 18 and younger.
